H0 – Sweetmeadow

Sweetmeadow is an HO scale terminus/junction in a North American 1950s/60s setting. Still under construction, it has track laid and electrics working and we are currently busy on scenery and operations. Wireless DCC is used throughout. Built to replace our very successful Prospect Point layout, it combines significant scenic elements with a lot of operating potential.

The layout has progressed significantly since lockdown. We have five regular builders and several other club members providing valuable support. Anyone interested is most welcome to join us.

Layout Update January 2025

The layout has progressed well this year, the invitation to MRX 24 – our first “outing” – was to prove both successful and challenging for the crew; Our first busy terminus takes a lot of time to find out how to work it smoothly; as a result the layout was short of time for last-minute detailing and crating for transporting – we managed, but need more work. and better planning. The exhibition experience was a success, the layout looked handsome and operated without a glitch.We have an excellent working layout and (as ever) there’s more to do.  Developing that will be our focus in 2025.
